Club Policies

Fleet Netball Club is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive

environment for all of its members.

We are dedicated to fulfilling our duty of care by taking all reasonable steps to safeguard and
promote the wellbeing of everyone involved in the club. We strive to prevent and respond
appropriately to any foreseeable risks, ensuring that all members can participate in netball in

a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment.

This page details all club policies on Safeguarding and Code of Conduct.


Please note that ALL club members, volunteers, officials, coaches and guests are asked to

read and familiarise themselves with this section.

Code of Conduct

Player Responsibilities
1. All players must adhere to Wavell’s Code of Conduct at all times. 
2. All players must treat all team members, opponents, coaches, umpires, and scorers
with respect and demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
3. All players must act as positive role models and uphold the excellent reputation of
Fleet Netball Club at all times.
4. All players must remove all jewellery and accessories, ensure nails are short and
smooth and wear appropriate clothing at all times before training and matches.
5. All players must warm up and cool down to prevent injury.
6. All players must not consume alcohol, tobacco or illegal substances immediately
prior to or during club activities.
7. All players must be punctual to training and matches.
8.  All players must advise of any injuries prior to training or playing in matches.
Club / Committee Responsibilities
        1. The club will not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination. All
players are encouraged to report any behaviour or situation that makes them feel
uncomfortable, providing relevant details, to the team captain, a coach or committee
member. Clear procedures will be followed for all reported incidents
        2. The committee reserves the right to address any breaches of the code of conduct
and, in serious cases, may ask a member to leave the club or take other appropriate action
at its discretion.
